Berlin Dub Festival is an annual celebration of dub and reggae music and soundsystem culture, taking place on the river Spree at the legendary Yaam club.
This year, it’s a three-day programme, presenting sounds from the UK, France, Switzerland and Germany in the main hall, with a live stage in the yard, shops, food and the Dub Wohnzimmer Allstars running the tunes at the beach bar.
Berlin Dub Festival 2.0 starts on Thursday 3 September with a Dubstep Special, featuring Spoke, Tom Battery, Mr Glue, Tricky D and Saiman.

KINGSTON CONNEXION
Kingston Connexion is a real treat for roots fans. The French-based label releases rare and hard-to-find Jamaican classics from the 1970s, along with fresh roots and dub productions from Tokyo. When Kingston Connexion plays, you are sure to hear a heap of tunes that you’ve never heard before – but will want to hear again.

IRIELAND SOUNDSYSTEM
Aldubb, Mr Glue and Jah Seal are Irieland Soundsystem, producing dub, reggae and dubstep on the Irieland and One Drop labels. Irieland is the resident sound at Dub Herz, the monthly dub club at Yaam.

KING EARTHQUAKE
The King Earthquake sound started in the late 1970s in Birmingham, England, and was one of the most influential UK sounds until the rise of techno and acid house led to King Earthquake packing away his sound. Happily, he returned to the business in 2000, and takes his place alongside the giants of UK soundsystems.

ORIGINAL BASS FOUNDATION
Producer, selecter and operator OBF is the French dub warrior out of Lyons, home of a vibrant digital and live dub scene. OBF also runs the famous Dubquake night in L’Usine club in Geneva. Now a regular on the reggae festival and club circuit, OBF comes to Berlin for the first time to drop some heavy pressure.

LION YOUTH SOUNDSYSTEM
Geneva is the heart of Switzerland’s roots scene. Jah Tom and Axeman are the super-chilled crew known as Lion Youth Soundsystem. They are the resident sound at Geneva’s Corner 25 club, regular guests at Dubquake, and hosts of the weekly Upfront Radio show.

DUB ROGUE
Reggae and dub promoter, producer, selecter and operator of the Dubflash reggae site, Dub Rogue is the man behing the Dub Flash record label, specializing in heavyweight UK steppers and dub styles.

Hello!
My name is Lydia and I’m manager of Bandulu Dub, a dub project from Portugal.
We’ve just played in International Dub Congress, Ibiza and Sicily and we would like to share what we learned there.:)
We’ve played also in Playa del Carmen, Cyprus, several places in Portugal, all can be seen in our myspace.
I found your webpage and myspace and though you could give a good opportunity to show our work in Berlin. It would be an honour to be at Berlin Dub Festival!
We can make sets from dub, jungle, drum and bass, world music, and reggae style, we are versatile and that’s how we want to be known.:) The set can have variable lengths, all being done by Bruno on stage, producer of Bandulu Dub.

Tickets for 3 days are €20, from Yardstore on Mainzerstr. Otherwise: Thursday €6, Friday €10 and Sat €10 for nightly tickets.
